Have you taken a glance through at the pepper discussions over at the bonsai forum? Normally pepper plants don't need frequent fertilizer - if the plant looks like it has recovered from transplant and is putting on new growth, you might give it a dose of 1/2 strength fertilizer. Keep in mind that growing bonsai is quite different than what most people on this forum are doing so your goals may not be the same. I grow for a good harvest and do not worry about keeping the plant alive long-term, which is rather the opposite of what bonsai is for, so I would focus on keeping the plant healthy. Too much N fertilizer will encourage rapid growth, which you may not want.

Aniajs, yes I understand what you mean. I have done a lot of reading on Bonsai and have been growing peppers for some time now and thought if I were to do Bonsai I mind as well try Bonchi. Transplant went great! I am just wondering if it needs a little boost because the leaves are turning just a little light green and I figured they could use a little nitrogen and I just got a pepper to start and I want it to grow well. I think I will do a very small dose of fertilizer just to give it some kind of food. Thanks for the comment Aniajs!
