I love the marble top Victorian table. Do you possibly have a place for it in a guest bedroom?

We use a German made leather conditioner (lexor, I think, brown bottle). Try it in an inconspicuous place on the back since the leather is older. My 25 year old sofas look pretty new, with cleaning and treatment every six months.

I'd angle the largeish chair in the corner, with the lamp behind it. Get a white extension cord, and work it close to the base and carpet to make it mostly disappear.

i think that the chair goes fine with the lamp. that style is one for reading and has not changed for years. maybe you should put that chair closer to the door? a vase with flowers on top?

I have moved the leather chair near the sectional and the library table under the window. I took the tall lamp and put it near back of sofa for now. The marble table is still homeless. I will post pictures tomorrow when I return. Thank you oliviag and havingfun!

Marble table is still sturdy and in a handy place next to sliding doors, if still there. Would a table cloth matching that bronze lamp be too much?

Here are the changes. I moved the marble top over where the library table was... Someone suggested a plant so I thought a tall fern on that marble table to fill in some wall space. I think I like the leather chair where it is now, but would love other opinions/advice!

As said by others, leather chair and classic lamp-- together like bachelor friends :) - Maybe you'd like a smaller and less dark chair by doorways.

Your table has beautiful lines and could be almost by itself... I liked the earlier photo with table and urn but on other wall....

Everdebz thanks for your imput. I will put the chair, lamp and table in front of window tomorrow and take a photo, I think it will be a bit crowded but no harm in trying. I was out shopping today looking for something to go under tv. I found a bench that I like, but I am going to continue to look.

I like that, and simply neutral like couch [?] You'll be mixing styles with antiques. Is it the fabric, or more so its style you like, just for talk.....

Everdebz I agree about the leather chair.. It's too large for that area, especially when I add something under tv. I will move it back to the corner with the lamp. I also agree library table looked better in original spot next to vase with branches. Thanks for the clarity!

I like the simplicity of it and it can be moved around if needed. I like that it doesn't "fight" anything. I am a bit afraid of color.. As I'm sure you have noticed;)

The long rectangular table with spiral legs would look great by your entryway instead of the small round marble one. Hang a mirror or artwork over it. Indeed the leather chair is too big in the spot shown near the patio door. The end table with the new lamp is too high for the sectional. That lamp with a table lower table would look nice. Have you tried the round marble one there?

Yes I tried the marble one there and the consensus was that the larger one filled the space better. I had the table originally pushed more into corner as not to use it right next to sofa but I was told to put it closer and center it with the arm.

I had the library table originally in the entry way area and did like it there.

How tall is the library table, and is it taller than the sill of the big window beside the chair? I like the chair in the corner. I'd probably move the lamp a little further to the right, towards the cor er, for balance and function for reading .

I'd love to see the library table under that window. If it fits. The scale of the chair and table are similar.

I feel like that leather chair and table under that window would be too tight but I'll try moving it tomorrow. Also, it would create more problems because I would have the other empty space by entry to contend with .

I was afraid of that. They're usually desk height. It's a wonderful piece, and I am glad you're working the old with the new. It will give you a unique and personal look when you're finished.

I think the pictures are deceiving.. Hard to get a good idea of what is going on with choppy pictures of the space. The square table is the wrong size for the leather chair.. I moved things around again and ended up putting the square table back near sofa. My husband had suggested cutting the table down a bit, which he feels he can do... That way it will look better next to sofa. For now I am leaving the leather chair in corner with the brass lamp. I'll get a new pillow for it. The marble table is still a pain but worse case scenario I'll have to store it. I ordered the bench to go under tv as I did not want to add more wood tones to deal with and like having the extra seating. Pillows for the sofa are next.. Also I am keeping the library table where I originally had it near the entry. Thank you all for your help, all the ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I won't be moving any more furniture for awhile as I tweaked my back this morning moving that darn marble table.

Cozy the sectional corner with either a round table no higher than the arm, a table lamp or floor lamp. Size and scale of all is important with such a deep sofa side. If you aren't doing window treatments, this will add warmth. See the photos for proportions.
Maybe the upholstered bench would work behind the sofa to keep the leather chair company.
Console under the tv, closed storage or open with two poof/ottomans below. Try not to have a chair on this side. If you do, it should be leggy and open armed.
Another console with a lamp to create an entry. Consider matching the tv console. Maybe you'll find the same style, one open one closed storage.
Will your lovely tables work as bedside tables instead of going in storage?
Try consignment stores, helps with the budget. Nice views!
