Dark Cabinets in a Small Kitchen

I LOVE your kitchen!! I have small 2 sided walk through galley kitchen with bright light in morning and darker as day goes on. Afraid to get darker cabinets, but it seems that with under cabinet lighting this might be alright? Thoughts please? (I have patio doors leading out to a small porch to the right of the kitchen but the window & the doors (both facing east) is the only natural light I have coming in. My tile flooring is light neutral. Thanks!

    Hello, and thank you for the inquiry. It is difficult to weigh in on this topic without seeing your space. What is the ceiling height? Installing light-coloured cabinets and/or countertops would be helpful in terms of keeping the space bright, but it is not a "must". Keep in mind that with darker cabinets you can employ the use of light colours via the countertops, backsplash and wall paint colours. Thanks.
