Hi everyone, I'm in the process of selecting flooring for our new build. It's a pretty large home. I was going to get hardwood on the mainfloor with tile in kitchen and breakfast room. We don't have a finished basement though so I want to get the great room carpeted...kids can play and I'm not worried about scratches. Living, dining and hall would still be hardwood. Would that look bad?
