That's what he wants you to do.....order more. I'd plant them at five foot centers.

I have planted trees and shrubs a whole lot closer than reasonable, but with the clear intent of removing every other plant a few years down the road. (Some commercial projects and a few private required the heavier installation.)

I would say 5ft from the fence, then 4ft apart. These get pretty large. Have you been to a walmart recently? Everything in the garden center (bagged dirt, containers, outdoor plants, bulbs) is 50% off. I saw some of the purple loropetalums (not sure what cultivar) for $3.20 each. It says 10ft tall so.....

No luck at ours. That's ok. Getting great service from where I ordered them from. :)

Oh, well. It was worth a try. I will have to post pics of my loropetalums.
