JD D125 Mulching

Without getting into the saga I finally wore out the deck of my good old LX176. It wasn't cost effective to repair/replace it so I bought a JD D125 to supplement my Z425 rider. I'm now thinking about buying a mulching plug for the D125 for Fall use.

Is it mandatory to buy the mulching blades? My readings show a closely split consensus with no being in the ever so slight majority. I ask here for the final enlightenment.

I believe these come w/ the 3 in 1 blades which mulch fine. You can buy a hybrid blade such as a Gator which generally gets good results on these too. JD also offers a mulch kit (BM21816) as well as a cover kit (GY00115).

That supports the consensus so the 3-in-1s will have to do the job.
