Hello. I planted these baby thuja green arborvitae in mid-June. We are in zone 5 in central New York. I watered them as instructed and they looked fine and healthy for the majority of the summer. Now some of them have these yellow and brown offshoots. Can the yellow mean new growth? Is there any product I should be using on these? I am just worrying that they might be dying and in really hoping that's not the case. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
