If you get it from Violet Barn - it is $12 plus shipping. It is a new release, this year, nobody has it. I looked on ebay - one small starter was sold for $34 plus shipping.

If you have patience - next year it will be less expensive - and I am sure Leon will put a leaf down. It has highly curly leaves, these guys are usualy slower to grow and start babies.

I couldn't find photos of a mature blooming plant - so hard to say if the flowers are large or small. Probably next year people who grow plants for ebay will have tons of it for sale.

Actually Violet Barn has a whole bunch of their own hybrids for sale that are new this year. I was tempted to get more, but I need space in my house to sit and eat and lie down to sleep.

Plus you need to rehome all 100 clones of no-name Optimaras you propagated ;-)).

IMHO the collection should have an idea. Plus - collection - changes - nobody has space for 10000 plants - so if you have space for 25 - this year - you want only standards, next year - you want to try trailers, or species, or minis...If you keep everything you ever acquired - it becomes an unmanagable hoard. So - try - you have 2 named blues - pick the one that works better for you - rehome the other one. There are so many named plants that are very close, you need to select an outstanding one.

Regarding Violet Barn ones. You are wise to start with one. Ma's (Olive Ma Robinson hybrids - grow well for some growers - and do so-so for others - I am one of the so-so crowd - so I do not grow them. Rob's - (Dr.Ralph Robinson hybrids) - grow very well for me - but some people complain that they sucker incessantly for them. But Rob's trailers - are top of the line - self shaping, floriferous, take all the awards on Shows. So - if you want to try one - that's the place to go.
