That is a good one., 2lbs , 3.5 oz Rain or water alone cannot make bigger tomatoes. It is the genetics.

My largest so far has been 11.4 oz.

We're in a drought, yet Aunt Ginny's Purple's first three picks weighed 18, 19 and 20 oz. This was a plant that was pruned to one stem by the wind, so maybe that made the difference, because I have read that they usually weigh less.

I have never grown any tomato larger than 20 oz. This year some of the CP, still on the vine, look real large and they keep growing bigger. But I doubt they will make a record in my garden. By the genetics, every given variety has a size limit. The stems with fewer fruits produce bigger onen and vise versa.

Also, how does one care for them ( Food and drink !), climate .. make also a difference.
