I work in Edison/Metuchen but live only slightly north not far from the Somerville Circle. I have had a pretty good year though some are starting to wind down now. I usually plant a couple different varieties for that reason........if one does bad another is usually better. I have two large varieties going strong, one that blighted (can't remember which that one was, from some leftover seed). I always like to include one 'Juliet'.....large grape tomatoes......their taste is mediocre for a fresh garden tomato but they produce like mad and usually long after other varieties fade. My peppers did not do well last year but producing like crazy this year. Zuchinins ok. I hate the many drought years we have had including most of this summer but the last two weeks have been great with rain thankfully!!

I am in Middletown/red bank area. Tomatoes this year are not spectacular. I planted about 10 including yellow dragons, sweet 100, Juliet (which does produce much at all), beef steak, Philippine currant, Roma, oxheart. I got more than enough for the family but a lot less than the previous years. Yes, they are also winding down.

i have about 10 cal pepper plants. They produce 1-2 peppers per plant. Is that good? Got plenty of cucumbers from a six pack seedlings. My green zucchini so died off after a small harvest due to the heavy rain. The yellow zuc are still going. Have some sun chokes that is still not flowering. I got them from the plant swap in the spring from a master gardener (thanks!). I read that they are invasive. Now I worry that it will take over my raised bed next year.

I have a few Asian melons that are growing. Not great yield. Got two gigantic fuzzy melon on the vines, I let them grow like winter melon. There are also some Chinese luffa melon that are not fruiting yet. Also a few watermelons that I let them grow on trellis.
