Impossible space under the stairs

Hello,

I am absolutely going crazy trying to find a solution for closing the space under the stairs while still being able to maximize the storage. These type of stairs are pretty common in my country and I am unable to find any inspiration online that fits exactly my needs. The most common solution I've seen is a unit with drawers sliding out, but that is kind of pointless in my case as space 1 is not very tall but it is deep and most of the storage space is in space 2 and 3. (I'm sorry for the junk featured in the photo but I have nowhere else to put it, thus meaning I need to find a solution ASAP).

Have a finish carpenter or cabinet maker make access doors to the two wall panels. Lots of 'attic' like space.

It might be more user friendly if you have shelves put in too.

This example is for wine storage, but you could also use solid doors with deep shelves inside for any type of storage.

@auntthelma you are absolutely right it's more of an attic type space, will be looking for more inspiration in that direction, thanks!

@calidesign that storage would be great if my stairs would be tall enough, but my main issue is how to utilize the zones marked 2 and 3 in the photo as those are the only places where I can store the larger stuff that I need to hide away.

a fabric skirt?

if you did a tailored version you wouldnt have to do the math for gathering at an angle.

attach it around with velcro, remove it completely for a big reorganization.

You could do pull-out drawers in the space directly below the stairs to store small things you use more frequently. Then add drywall and an attic door to the face marked 2 like previously suggested. This way you could access sections 2 and 3 from the door but since that would probably be uncomfortable to do often you can use the section 1 drawers for smaller things you use frequently.
