Suitable for kitchen under cabinet lighting?

I'm not sure I understand how these work so let me tell you the application and you tell me if this product is suitable.
I'm looking for warm, dimmable, hardwired light under counters, including one desk area. The cabinets are linked but separated by lips that are under the cabinets. I will have a switch per each side of the kitchen.
