Start by changing to a light trim (not harsh white) for the fascias, gutters, ceilings soffits, and window trim and windows is you can paint them. This will lighten things up and make it more open and inviting. Next select a new color for the siding not as dark as the brick but mid toned. I can't see the brick well so it is hard to make a call on the color but a lot of colors could work. Being darker the second floor will be tied to the whole house instead of looking like it is just perched on top. Lastly put some punch in the shutter color so that they draw attention to the house instead of just marking a place. And put the same color on the front door to balance things.
