My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    how is it delivered? Do they bring it into the house or leave curbside? Also, what kind of wood is it? What finish is on the wood top? Can it be sanded and refinished if the top gets scratched?

    Hi Tim- the island is built of solid pine all over, including the top. We can change the top to a birch (hardwood) top if you prefer. Pine is a soft wood, so you should have an appreciation for the character of pine and enjoy the distressing the occurs through wear and tear. Otherwise, birch would be the better choice. Thank you.

    I realized that I did not address the delivery issue. You should contact Houzz directly on that, as they take care of the delivery. And yes, the top can be sanded and refinished after a while if you like.
