Hi,. I don't know of any particular variety of sans that blooms regularly. Sans are grown mostly for the foliage and the wide variety of form and color. If a plant blooms, it's a nice bonus. I see a bloom occasionally, usually in the summer months.

More like they bloom once it a while, if one is lucky.

I saw the response you got about this elsewhere (at Houseplants maybe). Our eager friend who responded exaggerated a bit.

In over 15 yrs. of growing these, I've seen them in bloom twice, once in So. Calif & once here in NYC (& belonging to multiple garden groups, including those growing Cactus & Succulents ('C&S')).

Each has their own experiences. Mine, my Bantal's Sensations bloom every winter season in my basement under lights. My Moonshine in 5 years since I've own them has never bloomed. The taller varieties used to bloom for me often like plain S. trifasciata. It is extremely rare for any hahnii to bloom. This is only covering the Sans. trifasciata family some others might bloom more often.

I believe the Cylindrical is known for blooming somewhat more prolifically than some other varieties. Mine is blooming for a second time this summer. You can see the previous flower petals were still stuck in cracks and crevasses when I took this pic - I've since repotted her in gritty mix because she was over-watered by my mom when I was out of town on my honeymoon.
