Indoor grill on rangetop...pros and cons please!

We are purchasing a new range oven. We are getting a griddle and need to choose between 4 burners and a grill or 6 burners. I would like the grill but the salesman said that they can sometimes cause an odor that lingers in the home. I would appreciate feedback if anyone has experience with an indoor rangetop grill.

I have a BlueStar with a grill. You need a good venthood with plenty of CFMs and you won't have a problem with odors.

I have a BlueStar Platinum 36". I suggest you order an all burner range top and buy an after market grill/griddle. You will use the burners more often. When you need a grill, you can pull one out from storage, use it, clean it and put it away. My opinion only. Don't skimp on ventilation, but don't go hog wild, either.
