Oh I would suggest lowering your tv till it's at eye level when you're sitting

I've got the rug pulled further out now so the coffee table isn't just on the edge. I'll add another pic of the fireplace later so you can get a better idea of how long that wall and cabinets are but they extends out 48" from the sides of the fireplace so I have quite a bit of open space above the cabinets.

I have a vintage map of Annapolis from the 1800d I plan on hanging over the couch so I've got
that wall taken care of just haven't had time bc I'm turning it into a faux pull down map. also, the color of the couch pic is a little bit off not sure why the fireplace showed up so much clearer.

I'd do something like this. Btw the floor lamp floating in the corner was meant to be in place of the lamp you have there now. I already like all your stuff, I just replaced some of it like the lamp because it didn't feel very farmhouse industrial. And I left that space empty for your map. Anyways hope I helped at least a bit!

Would you do wallpaper for the tv wall? Also do you like Joanna Gaines style like the shabby chic farmhouse look or more industrial farmhouse?

What about reclaimed / barn wood shelfs on each side of the tv wall? The portion of the wall with the tv could also be clad in the reclaimed wood for the Joann Gains look.

OKAYYY sooo here are my BEFORE pictures of this space including one from the listing photos. very awkward use of space and from the moment I walked into the home from the first time I envisioned boxing in that weird hole and leaving a space open so I can stash all my ugly electronic necessities out of the way. I originally planned to put barn wood shelves but I don't know what to put on them or how to decorate. I want wood me metal and greenery. probably books and other other odds and ends
