I can't help much, but I know there is always a problem with the ice maker with this fridge. A friend of mine has a double one and apparently each tray has to go in its own place,,you can't switch the two containers since one has to click on a certain button to start the ice..I don't know if both ends of the ice tray are the same,,it might be that it's side specific, meaning a specific side needs to be towards the back of the fridge..See if that makes a difference,,if not, call their customer service. They might be able to help you over the phone Depending on your location, their repair staff might take a while to get to you

Make sure you have the serial number of the device to hand when you call (it can be found on the serial plate inside the refrigerator).

They will also charge for parts and labor. As I mentioned in a previous post, I've changed the ice maker 4 times. Is there an aftermarket replacement part that works better than the original?
