How to layer curtains?

Hi. I want to layer curtains for my living room. I bought the ivory curtains with gold prints(in the pic) to be in the front. I am not sure about the back curtains though. Which one do you all think looks better? The plain ivory or the shimmer gold? I love the front ones so dont want to change them.
P.S. I will order the back curtains in a bigger size once I decide.

    I prefer the ivory. Your room looks dark already. The gold one may make it look darker.
