Thanks everyone so much for the positive input! My home is an Cape Cod/New England stlye Cottagish home, and there was very little room to remodel, so, I did the best I could..... Nessame... no, I didn't change the floors, they went much better with the espreso cabinets. Thanks again!

No actually, I used a company out of Home Depot called... Nhuance, Barrie Area...they do cabinets and floors and it is a special durable coating that makes it look like natural wood Stain....it is amazing...and Thank-up very much for all your great comments, it really makes me feel great Thanks!

Looks great! How long was the whole process? I am thinking about doing something similar with gel stain. Do u mind telling me how much to have someone do cupboards. Thanks. Are u in Ontario?

Wow, this looks great! I just bought a house with the same cabinets and was thinking of painting them. I did see something on the Home Depot website and was thinking of having them do it because I'm so scared I will mess them up! How long did it take them?

Yes," Angela" we are in the Barrie area and Tax in , Also" there are a few more cabinets on the other wall"...It was 2100.00. I must say that these people were so professional...took their shoes off always, put down blankets everywhere, took the doors off and sprayed them in thier shop...they did the remaining parts of the cabinets in the house, but with the greatest of care. Also, they repaired any broken areas and I was so impressed....just sayin' it's all important and I was impressed! They are called Nhuance... Call direct not through Home Depo and you will get a better price...I wouldn't do this myself too much room for errors and up close it looks amazing I have done cabinets before but this formula is not like paint or stain in coats and protects the wood and makes them look brand new...I know ,they should pay me for this but that is how much I was impressed...some of my other contractors were not so good and gave me grief...like the granite guys...but nothing is ever simple ,
I still really enjoyed myself.and Thanks again everyone for your wonderful commments. Now on to the bathroom!

By the way It took 4-5 days...drying time included!

Yes Susan, that is the correct company. I am a kitchen and bath designer from Home Depot and this is a great option for small budgets if cabinets are perfectly fine, just outdated. The benefit to going through Home Depot is if you have additional work being done and they will coordinate it all for you.

I need to get my thoughts straight ...it was the collingwood Home depot if that makes a difference!!!

I will get you all the name of the couple that did my home, give me a few days and check back I am on Vacation...they were so professional and they are worth contacting direct...They take such pride in their work it is their company and it means the world to them! They are all franchises. That is what I got across from their efforts!

What color did you use for the cabinets? I want to paint my base cabinets either gray or black & the upper cabinets a creamy white. I really like what you used.

The contractor specially blended this color but is is an Espresso color! Thanks!
