Community Grow Out, My Record

Planted approx a week ago, my babies are all up almost, surprised at the slow germination, but that could be due to my not soaking them before planting since its quite humid, lesson learnt

    Shimolee and Lal, I had around 43 seedlings(local from my own pods) and about 10 of thai socos + black giant last year but few survived the delhi winters despite my utmost care..I lost most in end dec and jan when its the coldest here. All the other big ones survived with just no watering but seedlings died due to the cold and low water..just withered away.

    I now have only two or three black giants which have grown and one thai soco left.

    Now I had bought from aliexpress the red and blue led bulbs about 6/7 $ each with which I lit up the makeshift plastic tent like shelter I rigged up in one of my balconies. The seedlings I kept in one bedroom where a heater was available.

    If you can spare a room, keep it warm and light it with these lamps and water sparingly..your plants will make it thru the winters..dont worry.

    I couldn't have spared a full room from them so it was my loss..but the light is surely effective and made them put out leaves even in the winter.

    Warmth and light is what they need so just protect them when the temps are lowest and dont water them that time and they will make it thru the winters...if you need a link to what I bought..I can put the link.let me know
