Rose Propagation & Exchange

Accidentally snapped new rose shoot :(

I have a David Austin rose and 2 new strong tall shoots came from the bud Union and grew taller than the shrub so I pruned them back a bit. A shoot started to grow from the 5 leaf set that I cut to and was about 3cm long until I snapped it clean off this morning!

Will it grow another one there or should I prune further down to another 5 leaf set?

It is possible that it will grow another shoot. There are usually at least two, sometimes three, bud eyes at each junction. It's up to you though. If you want to cut it down to the next leaf set it will grow from there as well.
