A Mystery Dark Tomato .. Can You Name It ?

Story : I bought an OP tomato from store last year, saved seeds and planted this year. This was the original tomato:

Now here are the fruits that I have harvested : The one on the right (whole and sliced ) has been ripened on the counter. The other ones are not. So you see stripes on them but the stripes on the ripe one almost has vanished and it has got nice darker color.

Now comparisons:

I have the following dark omatoe growin next to it: Black from Tula , Indian Stripe and Cherokee Purple. . This one IS DIFFERENT. It is not ( Ithink) similay to Black Krim either (?). BK has darker flesh.

The Plant : Indet, RL, very productive. Only BFT can beat it in productivity Also it is a bit early

Fruit size : 4 to 10 oz.

Taste : Great. Juicy yet meaty. balanced sugar and acid.

Keep in mind, my tomato knowledge is limited, but Sara Black looks similar: Sara Black Tomato

I used to grow and sell heirloom German red tomatoes that looked identical to this, so maybe that is it?

Or a vorlon?

This is a purple black tomato, not read.

Its skin color and flesh is more like Black from Tula , Cherokee Purple and Indian stripe . Bu it has a stripe pattern ( when not fully ripe ) that I seed on Indian Stripe.

This and Black from Tula beat both IS and CP, side by side . And so I will just grow those 2 next season as my dark varieties.

Other Mystery dark.

I got the seeds from Trader Joes tomatoe.

It was vey late but fanally came from behind producing lots of tomatoes. So far got one ripe one.

I love the skin color. The flesh is nice purple and tastes very good

Are you trying to determine what variety it is? Because that's basically not possible. Or are you just asking for people to help you find a new name for your mystery variety?

Looks like a not quite ripe Black from Tula should darken up in a couple. I just popped out and picked a couple of under ripes the one on the right is a B from T on the left is a B Krim

The one on the right , in your picture , is almost what I,ve got .I have heard that BFT comes in more than one strain.

gorbelly , Some times a tomato has such a unique features than can be identified. Example, Ananas Noire. I got it identified.

And this grape variety also has unique features. Searching all over internet I have not found anything like it ( Pecan shape, varigated skin , purple flesh, ). I don't want to give it a name right away. But if no match is found I will name it. That is how thousands and thousands of tomatoes got their names. Not a big deal. And other thing is that I am not advertising /promoting and selling seeds.

UPDATE:

I call the first one Sara Black LA ( look alike).

I grew BFT and IS next to it. They were all different. I also am sure that it is neither BK or Paul Robeson.

I call the second one Tiger Grape.
