Was thinking of putting one accent wall going downstairs. Wooden planks. What do you think

You could put planks on that wall but ,depending on the space it might be too heavy looking if its a dark wood.It could close in the space . Not sure what look you are going for in the rest of the space . You could paint the wood or give it a white wash look and still allow the texture to show.
