Fall blooms

I suppose it is fall now, poplars are definitely turning yellow. Cold one last night, but things are still hanging in there. Here are some photos from today as the day started to warm up.

I am trying a variety of petunias this year. Vista Bubblegum is still the best. Vista Silverberry is pretty good too, but the ones I have are definitely more sparse than Bubblegum. I have Vista Fuschia too (not pictured), and don't like it nearly as much, the colour is so-so.

Winnipeg Parks is putting on the third flush this year:

This Russian Sage did well, and I am getting some rebloom from the sea thrift and pinks in the background:

Gaillardia 'Goblin' just keeps blooming:

I like this woolly yellow yarow, it is much better behaved than the pink yarrow behind it:

Flax is on it's last legs, but still kicking out blooms:
