No idea who makes it, but I wouldn't call this modern, so don't think you have to worry about it being too modern.

I have something sort of similar in my foyer...and I would say my home is more transitional/traditional (not modern). I don't recognize this exact fixture though...

I'd be more concerned about whether the ceiling height in the kitchen will be high enough for people to not hit their heads on this fixture - the style is trad/transit though. Not modern.

The photo looks like it's in a showroom of a Lamps Plus store, maybe ask someone there about who makes this fixture if you've got a Lamps Plus retail store near you?

I love this light! So blingy, but practical Joy raises her ugly head. Have you thought about cleaning this? Is there another blingy light with gobs of prisms that you can clean easily? This one looks like access to prisms would be difficult. I would save this for a non-cook area.

Why don't you post a picture of your kitchen? It may further help others with the advice they are giving you.

Thanks. Right now our kitchen is a blank canvas, we are doing a total gut rehab. This light is for over a corner banquette area. The cabinets are white shaker style, lt gray island, darker hardwood floors. The space was opened to the dining area where we will have a larger table and another chandelier that's is also pretty blingy. See photo
