Paint Color Help

We are almost at the end of a home being built in Florida. The home was someone else's build who is no longer involved (no idea why they got out).

We were able to get this home at a great price because of this but the downside is everything in the home was already chosen so I had no say in cabinets, counters, floors or back splash. Except for outdoor color of the home I do like everything else (I am not a gold color person) and they are very neutral so almost any color will work with them.

Home is situated with family room facing north east so it will be a bit darker. I tend to like soft and soothing colors and do not like to break up a home with different colors. I have added photos of my kitchen as well as granite, back splash and floor samples. I am looking for suggestions for colors for my kitchen that will most likely continue into the family room and dining area both part of the open floor plan so directly next to the kitchen.

I am not into tans/beige colors at all. I do like greys, light greens, blues etc. I would possibly consider a very very light creamy yellow as well. No furniture yet so I do not need to worry about matching that. All suggestions welcome.

Unless the house is VERY small, painting all the rooms the same color is pretty boring. Choose a fabric you like and work from there.

I am not painting every room the same color, just thinking the open kitchen, dining area, living. It's one big open space!

Hockeymom thanks so much! I absolutely love the healing aloe and have that in my master (at the house I am putting on the market soon).

I have an idea in my head but not sure it will look good and my husband is questioning my colors and whether they will flow. I was thinking a creamy yellow for the entry way and den that is directly to the right of the entry way(no door) and possibly a blue grey for the kitchen/dining/living space however I do not want it to look too blue and I also do not want a cold gray since my colors are pretty much neutral tans in the kitchen with white cabinets. Also I already have a blue grey kitchen in the home here I am putting on the market. I was hoping to do something a bit different especially since the house I am going to sell is in New England and the house that is being built is in Florida. Two very different climates and homes.

I am having a really tough time making decisions. I may have to hire someone to help me because there are so many options for me such as painting one wall a different but coordinating color.

Thanks for your color chart. I do love those colors!

    Thanks so much Hockeymom!

I like all those colors but could not use that many different colors for the kitchen/dining/living if it is one big open room I am assuming? I wish the circles had the color names on them. Hockey this is what I need a colorist to do for me :)))

P.S. My grandson plays hockey. In fact he and his sister are sleeping over and he has a game at 8:30 so we will be driving him to practice for 7:30 am :)

Yes a colorist would be so helpful! We have a some walls that flow and some that are closed so it will make it easier. So far we have only painted the bedrooms but I painted our bedroom and the master bath healing aloe after seeing your previous thread.

Yay for another hockey family! My son is a Peewee but thankfully tomorrow's practice is not until 3 pm. Our game schedule isn't out yet for the fall. good luck tomorrow!!

I do like that color. I was thinking yellow for the entry/den but my end up changing that around.

How do you like the Healing Aloe now that it is painted? I really like it a lot for the bedroom.

MY grandson is in squirts, made A team so he was very happy. They wont today 4-2. I just took a very long nap! lol

Very good!! Congrats on the win :) I am trying to chivy my children out of the house for practice now. Naps are good especially after early morning games and practices.

i love healing aloe. It is quite light in the sunlight and a nice soothing blue in low light.
