Yes, there does seem to be a disconnect between the large columns on one side and nothing on the other. That's why I suggested adding items to the right. Like larger house numbers (there are so many cool designs to choose from - check out Etsy!!!), and maybe an outside light. Plus maybe a wide board to mimic the column and even out the visuals. No shutters though! The trim on the windows is gorgeous, don't muck it up!

That giant tree could be an issue. Make sure the foundation is sound. All those branches hanging onto the roof will need to be trimmed. I would use paving stones for the walkway so you don't get cracking from the tree roots.

Don't underestimate the impact of landscaping.

I think window boxes would be great of course landscaping and I agree maybe make the columns smaller and add a railing along that space to make the porch feel more open maybe even a really nice awning over the large window.

Yeah, emmarene has it -- plantings along the front wall will make a world of difference. And maybe a brightly colored planter on each side of the steps. Looks like a cute house to me.
