I'm curious as to why you need to reseed KBG? Are you trying to grow it in the shade? If so then you should be seeding fescue instead.

I use peat moss in certain areas for the reasons you stated. The Kbg would spread to those areas but I'm impatient. Tough to use in large applications though because it is tedious!

As far as KBG is mix with fescue and rye. I have bigger bare spots due to back hoe renovation to the house and some thinning spots where weeds took over. I've been on schedule watering weekly deeply and using the alfalfa this year. It's kept my grass green especially in hot summer we had here. Mowing high. So I want to fill in and thicken the lawn get rid of weed problem for next year. Hopefully this works.

Thanks. I hope so. I have always been that person who cares about his lawn and wonder what I'm doing wrong when things were going wrong. I have learned a lot here and hope that things start looking up soon. The biggest piece of information I learned is things can't be fixed overnight, and Patience is key!!! Not always easy when uou see nice lawns around you.

That's very understandable as they are usually buried deep in someone's renovation or new lawn seeding thread and not given its own topic as you've done here. Good luck. How is the rest of your lawn doing now?

It's growing and green but had a lot of weeds and now it's yellow or dying in those spots hopefully to be filled with grass once I seed soon.
