My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Shiplap gap

I love the Shiplap. What is the gap between each board? Thanks so much!

    Thak you for the inquiry. We normally space the shiplap with a 1/8" gap between each board. Sometimes depending on the type of wood the shiplap is fabricated from, you may want to leave a larger gap to account for natural expansion that can occur during the humid months of the year.

      The shiplap used in the is project was fabricated in our millwork shop. We often use two types of solid wood depending on where the material is being used. For bathrooms, we use Radiata Pine as it is relatively stable moving very little in environments with large moisture swings. For all other rooms in the house, we use Poplar, a medium soft hardwood.
