Need Ideas for Kitchenette

We are in the process of finishing our basement and I want floating shelves in the kitchenette. Our contractor found beautiful wood planks that are pretty heavy. I'm going for a rustic modern look. I'm thinking about suggesting using the pipes shown for the two floating shelves. What do you think? All ideas and sample pics welcome.

Honestly I don't like open shelving. That basement kitchen is more gorgeous than a lot of ppls main kitchen. If you want open shelving do glass. So it flows with the style. But by all means. Do what you want. It's for you to enjoy. Not me. Although I did enjoy seeing your pics. Congrats.

I have had good luck with using liquid fabric softener ,spray it on and let it sit for awhile....good luck!!

I think some floating stainless shelves would look awesome. I used Danver shelves in my pantry and kitchen and love them. Attached a few inspiration pics. Good luck!
