80s interior decor?

The decor of this home is unusual, kind of has a funhouse feel to me; definitely a contrast to the exterior IMHO:

80s interior?

A number of the pieces are early 1990s Ethan Allen. The blonde wood and silver metal pieces, the glass and metal tall display case.

That's a very interesting house, especially the bathroom. Colorful for sure.

The primary collection the pieces were in was Ethan Allen Radius.

ok this is one of the rare occasions I find it hard to appreciate the decor, at least partially..:) the house itself is great though. Wonderful plan. I like mcm in everything but less so the mcm houses themselves; but I'd work with this one gladly.

Like April I like the house, the decor not so much. The yellow desk and dresser in the one bedroom look straight out of 1966. But I've never seen a faucet like the master bath sink, how cool is that!

I actually like the interior. There are a few pieces I don't like and I;m not sure I would want to have the blue/purple bathroom, but overall it would be kind of fun.

I think the inside looks like it was done recently. The double sink style, the use of what appears to be cement walls...they LOVE color that is a given. I saw a dresser or two that looked like upcycled '60s furniture. The question is, with all the talk of "resale" can such an uniquely decorated home sell?

Im sure it will sell, it's in a highly desirable, higher-end area. They might not get the asking price though.

What do you all think of the range hood, it's a red ellipse-shaped tube.

Well I think it's awful. I generally though don't like anything that looks doubtfully futuristic..

I love color, but not this bath..they picked very garish shades imo. Blue and purple can be amazing..just not this blue with this purple.

Together with that, the layout and feel of the house are much, much more important that things that can be changed sometime down the road.

Love the building, but the decor gives me a headache!

Oh purple, red & yellow - can you be more 1980s/90s? That living room makes me think: Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Wasn't it the Memphis Group that started all that?

I really like a lot of the other details, tho - nothing some paint couldn't remedy.

In general, I like it. I even like the range hood. The owner would take their furniture and I know how to paint. I was thinking I could live in it, but for one thing. The bedrooms do not have doors. Too creepy.

I think their theme is "pops of color." The walls in the bathroom look almost suede-like. That is some faux paint job!

I think it's pretty fun! Kinda reminds me of that film classic, Cool As Ice (1991).

I give them points for consistency! Every room looked like a sensory overload chamber designed to make my head spin.

Love the house! The decor is fun in it's own way, not my cup of tea but I think can enjoy it as a spectator. At least it is not boring:)

I find that style of home " interesting" and fun to see, but never for living in! Was that home in a magazine? I am sure that I have seen it before.

I like fun color and it looked to me like these people like modern lines, so if you like or at least appreciate modern lines, then the house is great. I love the kitchen cabinets! But not for everyone if you don't like modern. House could easily be painted griege inside and be all the rage today.

I would rather see the raw photos w/o the instagram filters.

Haha - I just went back to check out the photos again, & just noticed the (presumable) family portrait on the living room wall. Looks like they're all wearing satin bomber jackets & the colors are reflected in the room decor - how appropriate = J

It's interesting for sure. I bet the owners are fun people. Did you notice the sofa in the tv room is on top of blocks?

Whoa - so much more to discover! Wonder if that's to protect the chrome legs, or just raise the seat height? & there's a dog sculpture on the wall in that room that looks Kah-razy...

& I dig that range hood!

The more I look at the rooms the more I love the house. There is a LOT of art in that house, and also furniture as art. Love the little chair in the master bedroom. Love the bold colors. Love the painted tile countertops in the kitchen, along with the cabinets and what appears to be a bamboo floor. Love the sitting area off the kitchen, that is a dream of mine. Nothing of mine would go in there, but I like and appreciate most of it. I love the bathrooms, they look fun. Not sure how easy to clean they would be, I'm not a fan of wallpaper in bathrooms for that reason, but I don't even know if it is wallpaper, it might be some type of plaster.

I get the sense the owners are very comfortable in their own skin and live to the beat of their own drum.
