Well, the leaves appear to be the type that Bigleaf Hydrangea (H. macrophylla) produces so I would say that you will get mophead or lacecap blooms from this shrub if and when it blooms. :o)

As for getting another set of blooms on the new growth, hard to say. It depends but, I would not necessarily count on it on its first year. It will first depend on whether it is a rebloomer or not. Non-reblooming versions of this hydrangea will only produce flower buds in July-August 2016 and those buds will open in Spring 2017. So new growth now will not produce blooms now. Reblooming versions will produce buds like that too plus another bloom sometimes in the summer or perhaps Fall depending on where you are. If the weather gets too hot in the summer then a rebloomer shrub may wait for temps to come down before blooming again. Rebloomers may be off blooming reliably on their first year and local weather may also make it hard to guess.

So start here... when you bought the plant, did the plant label say it was a rebloomer? If reblooming was not mentioned in the label, assume it is not a rebloomer.

On year 1, the plant was probably made to bloom early by the wholesaler so its blooming habit on this growing season will be way different from that of future growing seasons. Exactly what it will do is anyone's guess. So, a rebloomer m-a-y re-bloom but I personally prefer that it use the time to produce more growth in the roots instead. Keep them as evenly moist as you can, away from drying winds and getting only morning sun until 11am or 12pm (a few hours of sun is sufficient).
