Grub Control

I had a lawn company apply grub control a couple of weeks ago.(8/31, property in WI) We did not properly water the lawn as I was out of town and my wife thought it was just a regular application. I do not believe we received any rain until about a week later. Last week we had approximately 2" of rain but I do not know if it was too late. Overall the lawn looks pretty good but have noticed certain areas where the turf pulls up very easily. I can not see a lot of grubs when looking but they are more of a silver color?

Would it be a wise idea to apply another round myself with some Bayer 24 hr grub killer and then water it thoroughly just to be safe or is this too much? I also know that when they did the application that my grass was pretty long(4" or so as we had a very dry, hot summer and tried to keep it long). I would hate to see this get worse as I have a total of an acre and the lawn looks great in 85-90% of the yard. I do not mind spending some money now to avoid potential problems down the road but also do not want to potentially waste any more money. Thanks.
