What size light fixture?

We are putting in a new pedestal sink and toilet (you can see where the plumbing is). The new mirror above the sink is 23.5 inches across and 30 inches long. The light fixture I picked out is about 18 inches long. Is that too short? Is the mirror too big? The picture shows the back of the mirror and the light fixture without the bulbs attached for reference. Thanks!
