They should be find in pots and thru winter. They also transplant easily in my z9a, just about ANY time of year. Expect it would be about the same for you. But why transplant? Boxwoods should not be terribly expensive so getting more to put in ground should not be a great financial drain.

There was a thread in the container gardening forum re: boxwood. I thought this was phenomenal, wouldn't be hard to do with yours, unless not your style.

@bossyvossy(S TX 9a) Yes, they are not quite that expensive, however, my yard is very small... so I have to b very careful with how many plants I get and if I have enough room for them... I think I will keep it for another year in the pot...Should I get regular compost to add to the planter? Or any other kind of goodies?
