Opinions on my Mini Rose, please

last modified: 9 years ago

My mom was given a mini rose a year ago. It was languishing in her kitchen table. It was etiolated and had few leaves. I brought it home in April, gave it tons of direct sunlight on the roof and it grew. First week in June I pruned it hard to get rid of the original spindly growth. When I pruned it, I took off almost everything, and just left the main trunk and a couple of small woody branches. This is what it looks like now. Is it in good enough shape? Some of the leaves are red from the sun. It hasn't bloomed, but I don't care about that.

What else should I do for it? How should I handle it in the coming cold months? This is my first mini rose.

Since I have it in fulI sun, I water it almost every day. I use 1/8th of a teaspoon of FoliagePro per gallon of water, and water it with that most of the time.
