Shown is airlayered plant grown in pot several years old now a few have ripened now most on tree going through ripening stage as shown in picture.

A few ripened on inground tree here in 2nd picture one is getting ready.

Note - used to have Sals cultivar from Belleclare nursery now long closed down with the Hardy Chicago in large containers for years.

After 9 to 10 years hardy Chicago was put inground Sals left yard little earlier.

Similar in leave shape but not exact to trained eye Sals was discarded as on personal palate Hardy Chicago had better taste than Sals which was somewhat muted by being sweeter of the two.

Thats on my personal palate only.

Very easy plant to grow and perhaps not as popular as others because of its abundance across country but an excellent fig to me.
