Backsplash going up as we speak! Eep!

So the tile guy is scaring me a little as the tiles are kind of uneven...but he likes that and that's the look. Eep! It's scary though!

So far-beautiful. He's laying them freehand without spacers. "You can't make an uneven tile straight!"

I would be having an anxiety attack for sure!! Looks good from here. I hope he knows what he is doing!!

He totally knows! Some is personal style/asthetics...but he's been doing this for years. We've been using him for 2 years anyways! And we have to wait 1-2 months from booking as he's so busy!. I do trust him.

So far it looks good!

But terrifying!

Now for grout picking!

Well, the unevenness was expected. I think a handmade look will complement the floors nicely. What did he recommend for spacing?

Mayflowers, he tried 1/8 at first, then 3/16. He liked the 1/8 (give or take) so that's what he did. He did as small as he could as that's what he likes. So I just went with it. It's done. Now grout. I have another thread you could answer mayflowers :)

Is it the bath thread? I don't know much about shower systems but I like the faucet that everyone else likes.

When will he grout? Can't wait to see it!

Nicole P - thanks! It's MSI antique white subway tile. I got it at Home Depot of all places!

Yes barncatz! They are narrow and pretty even for uneven tiles. Back tomorrow for grout!
