I would ask what rootstock they use for dwarf trees, it will have an effect on the fruit it produces, the flavor and juiciness. If they have one on C35 get that one.

Evan, they do not have it on c-35 although Ruth said it is a possibility for the future. The dwarf is on flying dragon. I'm going to order the regular one, but she said she would send me the dwarf. She's very nice and I'm a good customer ;-)

Hmm interesting that they charge more for the dwarf. Not sure why, a graft is a graft, wether it's dwarf or standard. Flying dragon is a good rootstock, it should do well for you.

Thanks Evan. Yeah, the dwarf is $10 more, but as I said, Ruth is nice...;-). I suspect the reason they charge more is not because it is a dwarf, but perhaps because it is a larger, more established tree, but I am not sure.

Dwarfs on fd take longer to get to sellable size. Longer in production means higher price.

my hirado was on fd from them. I didn't have it long but it was a nice tree.
