First, turn the rug the other direction, centered with the windows, and put the sofa between the windows with the rug under at least the front 1/3 of it. Add drapes to the windows and art above the sofa. Add a small storage coffee table for more toys and a place for you to put a drink or book while you are there. Move the two tall bookcases to the large wall with the table and chairs between them and a bulletin board for their artwork above the table. Place the tent on the chalkboard wall side, and draw a forest, pond, river, mountains or your version of a campground on it. This still leaves the center of the area open for active play.
