Can someone confirm for me that since the new flower spike shriveled and died, there won't be another till next year? The spike was still very young and was doing fine, then I discovered it drying up. Possibly attacked by an insect or possibly broken near the base, couldn't really tell the cause. I'm assuming it won't make another one this year right?
