I like the antique ivory better of the two.

Since the cabinets are staying, I think that the Golden Spring. I'm not a fan of the squiggly lines.

I find the antique ivory to be very interesting, and it speaks to me. It's different and I'd choose it.

But, they are both gorgeous, so you simply can't go wrong.

Golden Springs I think it goes better with the cabinets color.

I like the golden spring also - but both are pretty. I used a cream backsplash tile with my wood cabinets and I like it very much. Pic in my "my pics" idea book.

I prefer the antique ivory, but you can't really go wrong!

I'm a bit biased because Golden Spring looks so much like the New Golden Beach that I used in my kitchen remodel. It's been installed almost 2 yrs. and I still love it.

Antique Ivory has too much of a pink tone for my taste.

Antique Ivory looks great as a slab, but I think Golden Spring would look better as countertops.

I like them both and the Golden Spring reminds me a bit of my Absolute Cream which I never grew tire of in three years so I am biased towards it

What did you do with the old granite? (Just curious, I really like it). How did you get water damage that affected tile and granite but not cabinets? (Sorry I am nosey )

Yesterday, it came to our attention that the Antique Ivory slab is 3cm thick, which has thrown my fabricator for a bit of a loop and bought me extra day to decide while he prices that out. 3cm granite is rare on the West Coast and especially rare in the region where I live. I have done a little research and I can't find a compelling reason for slab thickness to be the deciding factor between Antique Ivory and Golden Spring (which is 2cm). Unless price becomes a big problem - which fabricator says it shouldn't be. I did learn that the 3cm counter will sit on top of the cabinets, with no overhanging lip, but I think this will be ok? Still looking into what that means. Is that how it's done on the east coast?

Anyway, jury still out, votes still welcome!

astro777: the damage was from a slow leak that destroyed the backs of the lower cabinets and the wall behind them. One big section of lower cabinets had to be replaced and our contractor didn't think it was possible to save the granite. It came out in chunks. It was called Paradiso. Originally we were able to preserve the backsplash, but we have since decided to replace it too.

Very interesting about 2cm vs. 3cm. A quick Google search says 2cm. with substrate is better because it's more flexible than 3 cm.

What does your fabricator say about the pros and cons of the 2 vs. 3 cm.?

Hello! visited my slabs today, all set to choose Golden Spring. But it has more pink in it than I previously realized. Is this a big deal? It doesn't really bother me but I am not sure how it will play out once they are counters and not slabs!

Anyone else want to vote or change their vote? I'm down to the wire

I was going to say Golden Spring before your last photos and I'm still going with Golden Spring.

I like the antique ivory. Especially for the contrast with the floor.

I can't see the pink on my monitor so you will have to go with your own eye -- do you like it a lot or it just "won't bother you"? I don't like pink in stone, as a rule.

I like the lighter bands in the Antique Ivory, but not so much the dark grey bands, with your floor and door If the grey was less prominent then I would like it.

My guess is that the pink is actually bands of garnets. I have seen many slabs with clusters of garnets from deep red to pinkish. My fantasy brown has small streaks of them. The other granite I considered was White Thunder there were some very large garnets in it I mean ring sized lol. I don't think it detracts at all. I like their sparkle.

If the pink is just sprinkles of garnets, then go with that one!

Golden spring, though antique ivory is beautiful too and would also work wellwith your cabinets. Good luck!

Maybe it is just me but over the years, I have been attracted to more simpler counter top finish. I loved granites which I have in my bathroom that I did a few years ago but I find the patterns too busy. I had to keep everything around it as simple as possible so it doesn't scream at me. For my kitchen, I went for quartz and to a much simpler finish.
