I've never seen a yellow one. We get the red ones here. I just wish there were more of them, they seem to be quite rare these days.

Same here, only red ones, but compared to say ten years ago, I now see very few. When I see aphids I squeeze them off with my fingers or, if there is a really large infestation, spray the roses hard with a water hose.

We don't get the storybook red ones down here. I've only seen these yellow ones.

Between them and the silvereyes, the aphids are kept under pretty strict control.

My mandevilla vines seem to attract aphids, but I never have them on my roses. The mandevilla might be attracting them away from the roses. On the mandevilla I just chop off the vine with aphids, then jet spray some water on what's left in case I missed any.

Didn't realize it until now, but lady bugs seem to be dwindling in my area too.

So the yellow ones are the ones with the lazy accent.. lol

Its mainly red ones this far east- tho I have seen one or two yellows. None of any colour have made themselves known yet here, tho the garden is sorely in need of em. The roses in the back yard aren't too bad and can be dealt with by daily squishing, but I'm averting my eyes from the hibiscus bush out in the front yard- its covered in em, and at least 10 ft high so unfeasible to even attempt a spray regime on.

Lots of aphids here too, and no ladybirds yet. I was concerned last year that there weren't as many as previously.

I rescued another one from the weeds I had put in the bin yesterday. So I have at least two around. Let's hope they're a boy and a girl!
