Of course its dark your walls look almost black, I guess the light is okay but if you are not industrial IMO it doesn’t work I would get something that goes with your style

Change the wall color. Choose a lighter one. Use pendant light.

You have beautiful ornate moldings and this light fixture is too heavy and cold for the space. I'd suggest a multi light fixture in a finish that reflects light (gold or silver) that works best with your interior.

The fixture you have is cool but only provides downlight....If that is not what you are after then you need a fixture that lights both the table and the room. The same fixture shape in glass would do that as would virtually any chandelier....

Thank you everyone! When I bought the house, the lighting was included. I like the cozy dark wall, but I agree, I need to change. I found the attached lighting at soho house. What do you think? Where can I get these kind of lighting? Not over the top price range...

Before you think about reprinting the dark wall, do play around with your lighting first. I think dark colours are warm and cosy in a dining room. Remember you can add lamps on furniture and floor lamps to the room for additional light. Over the table though you could either go for a series of pendant lights or a chandelier that has plenty of bulbs and glass to reflect the light.
