I am not sure it's a good idea to do black railings in Miami, as they may become to hot to hold onto... Also, white can be hard on the eyes in parts of the world where the sun shines most of the time. To choose a color, it's a good idea to look at surrounding complexes before choosing a color scheme, so the building stand out in the wrong way.
Although the building's color is a little drab, it is a good color. I would choose a more current version of beige, or even match the new ACs so they will blend in. There is nothing worse than mixing beiges that don't match...

Agree with Danielle B. about checking out the surrounding buildings. Walk around the area. Take photographs of buildings that inspire you. Once you have a selection you can see colour patterns emerge. You are bound to find one that "speaks" to you. Having travelled to Miami Beach a couple of times, what struck me every time were the pastel colours on the buildings - the soft whites or beige and then splashes of a blue or a pink...etc Perhaps you might consider something similar.

I think more along the lines of kidney curves when speaking of Mimo. Your original color may have been more of a butter yellow (which would look well here). Along that reasoning, keep in mind that whatever you choose will look slightly less bold at the end of a year's time.

I do like the white railings, as one user mentioned - black railings tend to heat up faster. I would suggest maybe a tan color for the building. It really just depends on what look you are going for. I believe there are some websites that let you virtually paint, if I'm not mistaken. A light gray might look nice as well. I'm being a bit biased though, I enjoy cool gray; it looks modern yet sophisticated.

I would not do beige. People come to FL to see, what they can not see, everywhere else in America. Miami is about colorful, playful sunshine. The building should reflect that and not get lost in the background, to a building that capitalized on it.

What about painting it a medium gray with orange or yellow or green rails? Fun, colorful and practical.

When I think of Miami Beach, colors come to mind. Not over-the-top, but I would go with a clean white background, and then use a touch of color for contrast. I found these examples below. How about some color on the square on top of the windows, or on the vertical poles? Maybe a fun blue? Then could even use one more color for another accent (maybe the doors in pastel yellow?). For the railing, can't decide white or color... hard to tell from a photo. White could be cleaner-looking - depends if you want to go with "fun Miami hip" look, or more "Miami Chic."
