That Roger bloom is awesome. I have 4 six month olds from his seeds and can only hope the blooms are that gorgeous! The genetics of his seeds is spectacular ... really vibrant, with fat caudexes & beautiful root formation. I can't wait to see their blooms!

Thank you everybody! :) It is my first year with adeniums, I got all my grafted plants this year and they didn't want to bloom all summer :(. They were slow to wake up after shipping, than they were dropping buds and I couldn't figure out why... I live in a High Desert and I could tell that adeniums don't like temps over 100s with low humidity... They folded leaves up to reduce surface area of sun exposure, some got a sun burn, and even in semi-shade and being watered twice a day they were on a strike, dropping and dropping buds... Until late August , lol. Now is a new challenge, day temps in mid 80s but low temps under 50s... My poor kids bring them indoor at nights and taking them back out around 10 am when I'm at work and sleep ( my schedule is backward, I work 12 hour night shifts)... there are more buds and one seed pod on other plants but in a week or so they will be going indoor for the winter and I have a feeling that most likely they won't like it either, lol. That's my experience with adeniums so far! Now I am just hoping not to kill them over winter. Gritty mix too dry for the summer and other mixes too wet for the winter and night temps in spring or fall... Go figure!

Roger, only one of your plant is blooming for the second time, other one keeps dropping buds. I'm hoping that all my adeniums adapt some how to the environment they are in :)

I have some of Roger's from seed as well. They are of very good quality. A couple are branching at mutiple spots, and most also have a very large caudex for their age, and my terrible care this Summer.

Elena, that last bloom you posted from Roger's seed pod, is that the smaller one or the other? Are you in the High Sierras, like Marica? Perhaps she can help and share best practices for your region.

Jerry, good to know you have Roger seedlings as well. Rob [halocline], @wispymistyteacup, and @davemichigan also have some and with Elena that makes 6 of us.

Let's create a Roger thread to show off these beauties as they develop, bloom, and as their caudexes grow. We can share pruning results, etc.

No, this plant wasn't grown from seed, I got it already grafted. Maybe grafted portion was from Roger's seed? Here's another picture of it from the first bloom

Elena, those blooms are beautiful. This is second blooming season for DR, those it is normal for them to bloom at this time.
