Chile ph question

I'm going to be taking a few trips out of town this next couple months for about 4-5 days at a time and won't have anyone to watch the ph on my hydroponics. I've never seen my ph below 5 or above 7 but that's still out f the suggested range. Should my plants be ok with the ph swinging out of range or do I need to try to figure something else out.

The plants may not thrive at their peak, but I dont think a ph between 5 and 7 would permanently hurt the plant for a few days.

5.8-7.2 is suggested range

the suggested range for hydro is a bit lower than soil. 5.5-6.5 is what seems to be the general recommendation.

It might be just a matter of where one gets their info. I always was under the assumption that pH ranges would be the same whether hydro or soil or etc...that soil was just a place for a plant to root itself and deliver water and nutes. Then again, I've never done hydro. So what do I know? lol
