We are considering to build a home on a lot already owned by a developer. We would be first time homeowners as we are still currently renting an apartment. The dilemma is, my husband and I have high taste (moreso after looking at hundreds of beautiful photos on houzz) and we do not love any of this developer's previous work. I don't want to be too pessimistic but we are worried the developer will not "get" our vision of our home and this process will be that much more difficult. Should we give these guys a chance or should we hold off and wait to build with someone who's taste aligns better with ours?
