Sofa fabric??

Hi, I am looking to buy 2 Tuxedo style sofas in my living/family room. I don't have a separate formal living room, but the architecture in this bigger great room is more formal but it's where we will hang out so I want something soft, beautiful and comfortable that is practical with kids and a dog. Is that even possible lol?! I don't like microsuede and I'm just not liking the outdoor fabric choices either. Are there any choices that will look great and be practical? I've had leather the past 10 years so I am so clueless. Thanks!!

I just got rid of my leather in favor of slipcovered stuff from Ikea. Kids and dogs and a cat. There are a lot of different types of microfiber sofas, they don't all have the nap that leaves "butt prints" and stuff like microsuede does. I have a microfiber sectional in my basement that's 5 years old and looks practically new. With kids and dogs and a cat. it's got kind of a stripe texture to it. The basic sofa was moderately priced, and I upgraded the fabric.

I am in the process of buying a sofa and I have been told to stick with 100% polyester. Some of the fabrics pill and others get wrinkly when you sit on them I have only purchased leather in the past 25 yrs so this was news to me.
